As a developmental editor, I help creative writers identify and investigate the questions driving and sustaining their work, develop and refine the form and organization of their projects, and articulate their contributions to contemporary literature within a broad and inclusive field.

I’m especially excited to work with writers on projects of long gestation–the thing you’ve been meaning to write forever, but haven’t yet found the time–or permission–to begin, or see through to the end. I enjoy thinking about all creative genres, and am very comfortable with work that crosses genre boundaries, doesn’t know what it is yet, engages with archives, or investigates the world through an excavation of the self.
